Music is a powerful tool to bring people of all backgrounds together.  Mr. Chris strongly believes in the Suzuki philosophy and aims to nurture and develop every student to their full musical potential.  He strives to bring to life Dr. Suzuki’s vision of creating “beautiful hearts”.  He is passionate about empowering students of all ages through his teaching and exposing students to a variety of music from a diverse cultural and stylistic background.  In addition to playing violin, Mr. Chris enjoys composing original compositions as well as creating unique arrangements for his students to perform.

Mr. Chris started learning violin in 4th grade through his public-school string program.  From his very first lesson it was clear that he was passionate toward the violin and all aspects of music.  Later on, he would add the piano to his musical world.  He knew that he wanted to purse music as a career and enrolled at Ithaca College in New York State.  There he spent seven years studying, practicing, performing in orchestras, and earning a B.M. in Music Education and a M.M. in Suzuki Pedagogy.

In 2015 Mr. Chris moved to Pittsburgh, PA to join the dynamic faculty at the Center for Young Musicians where he teaches today.
