While the weather may currently be cold, we can always look forward to when the sun will be shining and music will fill the air! The Charlotte New Music Festival will host a number of exciting concerts and performances throughout the day, a June date to be announced soon, that will include CYM cello instructor, Ryan Ash and the Beo String Quartet performing Pathways Bursting [neurosonics 2], by Andrew McManus.
This piece is special as it is the winning composition submitted to the CNMF and Beo String Quartet 5th Annual Composition Competition. McManus will attend the 10th annual Charlotte New Music Festival as a guest composer in June 2021, where he will present and have his piece performed by the Beo String Quartet, and have a radio interview and recording at WDAV 89.9 Classical Public Radio. Also, American Composers Alliance Inc. will offer publishing services – distribution and management of the work for a renewable two year period. In addition, “Pathways Bursting” will be featured in Beo String Quartet’s regular concert season.
Congratulations Andrew McManus! And we are excited for Ryan and Beo to perform Pathways Bursting [neurosonics 2] in June!
